“Satellite Coffee on University Blvd. in Albuquerque, NM was designed to fit into an existing shopping center. The new paradigm was to break the confines of the existing box with subtle angles that enliven the composition, creating dynamic space. Interior / exterior relationships were stengthened by recessing the entrance wall into the building envelope to create a wider outdoor seating area. Rusted steel siding creates a new facade element that overlaps the glazed entrance wall and provides space for signage.
