“Conceived of as a discreet and super-stylish location and getaway on the Camps Bay strip, this project is set to become the destination of choice for those “in the know”.
A unique palette of granite, slate, timber and glass has been brought together in elegant simplicity in an attempt to make rooms and relaxation spaces desirable to those who appreciate stylish accommodation backed up by discreet, luxurious service.
Add to that the fact that all that makes Camps Bay the international destination of choice, this project is set to redefine the boutique accommodation business in Cape Town and set the benchmark for those going forward.” [gearchitects.co.za]

Monisha Jaising Flagship

Monisha Jaising Flagship is located in Mumbai. The interior design was done by Sameep Padora and Associates.

Monisha Jaising Flagship

“Using the A.P.O.C. (a piece of cloth) collection by Issey Miyake from 80′s, as a conceptual starting point, we proposed three multi-operative instalation namely facade, a display system and a ramp/threshold to weave around colmns and beams, manifesting as a response to the abbreviated nature of the space rather than a preconceived desire to create form. This instalation piece becomes both the string that formally binds the faceted space together as well as holds program like displays for Monisha’s signature clothing.
The centerpiece of the space are three horizontal ribbons (each 2′, 6′ high) of highly reflective stainless steel that mirrors users in the space, juxtaposing the clothing hung from the middle band againts their reflection. The users hence become a participant in a dynamic display system.” [sp-arch.net]
